Facilities Engineer – Dallas, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the design of surface facilities, low pressure gathering systems, compressor stations, high-pressure pipelines, SWD plants, water treating systems and treating facilities
  • Responsible for process engineering and design including process simulations, equipment sizing and specification, drafting of piping and instrumentation diagrams, developing engineering standards
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements regarding facilities design and modifications
  • Participate in PSM activities for facilities including maintaining facility drawings and resolving PHA action items
  • Optimize new production facility design and retrofit existing facilities
  • Facilitate the preparation of all necessary design drawings and construction documents
  • Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and operation of oil field equipment
  • Assume leadership of a project team as lead engineer and coordinate the design aspects of the project
  • Develop process simulation models for existing and proposed O&G facilities
  • Size and specify equipment and instrumentation for existing and proposed O&G facilities
  • Develop block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Perform feasibility studies which include process design evaluation, cost estimating, and economic analysis


  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to effectively interface with various business groups: drilling, completions, operations, construction, marketing and development
  • Strong competence in upstream surface facility processing principles (hydraulics, separation, fluid flow, pressure control, temperature control, etc)
